Senior Firmware PHY Developer

You will be responsible for firmware development, characterization & validation of state-of-the-art network devices. Work as part of a team with circuit design, algorithm, architects & HW design to ensure outstanding product development from concept to customer satisfaction. The qualified candidate should be comfortable working on different code environments and should demonstrate a passion for the creation, execution, and improvement of FW features to control mixed-signal circuits.What you’ll be doing:Implement FW functionality in signal processing units of NVIDIA productsWork closely with the architecture, HW, and SW design teamsDefine implement and maintain FW algorithm to control the SiliconDevelop and test FW on emulation & simulation environments during the Pre-silicon phaseDebug and screen HW/FW/SW issuesTake an active part in silicon bring-up and SW development phasesLead data-driven discussions about the product functionality and areas for improvementWhat we need to see:B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical or Computer Engineering5+ years of relevant experienceProficient programming in CDebugging experience and ability to investigate and triage difficult problems in embedded FWExperience with developing the physical layer of communication protocolsGood communication skills and the ability to work with people across several countriesExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsGood understanding of analog, mixed-signal circuit operationWays to stand out from the crowd:Proficient in Python and MatLabGood understanding of SerDes operationKnowledgeable of Hardware/Software Development ProcessStrong collaborative and interpersonal skills, with an ability to successfully guide and influenceNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
