As a Principal Experience Researcher at Autodesk, you will play an important role in our team, focusing on leading and delivering user-centered insights and strategy that inform and enhance our products and services contributing to a better world designed and made for all.Reporting to the Research Manager for Building and Infrastructure Design (BID), you'll collaborate with a talented team of UX Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other important partners, specifically working with our teams building Autodesk Forma: our cloud-based software for early-stage planning, and design. You'll help us contribute to making connections and building innovative solutions in the AEC space with our global teams. The contributions you make will play a vital role in helping shape the development of next-generation software that can make designing and building more collaborative, efficient, and sustainable.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead partnerships with product, data, and experience leaders to inform strategic product and design decisionsConsult with multiple company partners to develop mixed methods research programs aligning with primary goals that support the design and development lifecycle from strategic inception to post-release validationCollect, analyze, and interpret complex data using advanced empirical and statistical methodologiesSynthesize and integrate data from diverse sources to find comprehensive, meaningful, and actionable insightsLead cross-disciplinary teams through the process of ideating and developing strategies based on research, which includes future experience principles, user journeys, and implementation roadmapsPartner with analytics teams to develop measurement strategies, measure impact, and drive data-informed optimization of initiatives and strategiesCreate case studies and best practices that help raise the capacity and capabilities of the AEC research team in insights-driven ideation strategy, and optimization using actionably frameworks and templatesEffectively communicate and tell compelling stories using a variety of methods to maximize impact of research outcomesDesign and facilitate workshops for idea generation, strategic decision-making, and co-creating strategyMinimum Qualifications8+ years of professional experience conducting and leading user experience researchExperience analyzing insights and summarizing complex data into clear and strategic insightsExperience building and leading partnerships with a variety of product development teamsAn up-to-date toolkit of qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools, and the experience to determine the appropriate approach for complex situationsExperience applying human-centered design principles and practicesExtensive experience applying a holistic and logical approach to problem solvingUniversity degree in a related field such as Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction or a related/equivalent field (or equivalent experience will be considered)Preferred Qualifications Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industryA comfort experimenting with, adopting, and teaching emerging research methodologies and approaches leveraging AIFamiliarity with using online diary platforms and co-creation techniquesExperience working with data scientists to combine behavioral and attitudinal insights into a holistic narrativeExperience with mixed or multi-method research approachesExperience facilitating workshops and working groups with extended team members and customersExperience in identifying market opportunities that align research insights with strategic priorities and potential market impactsLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
