Job Summary:Title: Finance and Accounting InternLocation: New York, NY (In-Person, Unpaid, For College Credit) The Role:Roc Nation, a Live Nation joint venture, is seeking an enthusiastic Finance and Accounting Intern to join the team! The responsibilities will include calculating, posting and verifying basic financial information used to produce and maintain financial and statistical documents. This position requires data entry, reviewing documents, maintaining financial data, and the willingness to learn and adapt to the fast paced environment. Responsibilities:Read and review contracts for our management and label clientsKeep track of invoices and cash receiptsUpdate and maintain our client filesHelp prepare monthly revenueResearch current client activity and verify that we are collecting commissionsEnter important financial data into our systemsHelp prepare reconciliationsDesired Skills and ExperienceMust be current student, enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program at an accredited college or universityMust be eligible to receive academic credit from their college or university for the duration of the internshipBackground in Business, Accounting, and/or Finance preferredSelf motivated with the ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProblem solving and analytical skillsAbility to multi-task, implement new processes, and meet time-critical deadlinesStrong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience or knowledge of Oracle is a plusAbility to think critically and creativelyDesire to improve and implement efficient processesDesire to learn about the music industry and businessThis internship is available for the Fall semester. This is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 16 hours per week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements. COVID-19 vaccination series and booster shot is a mandatory requirement for this position.
