Windows OS Technical PMDescription -The Commercial OS Engineering team is in search of a Windows OS Technology Program Manager to lead our technical support initiatives at the Microsoft campus for HP products. The candidate will drive the resolution of complex technical issues and provide strategic guidance to Microsoft partners, leveraging their expertise in Windows OS internals and advanced troubleshooting methodologies. They will work closely with HP and Microsoft engineering teams to identify and rectify potential product defects, ensuring the continuous improvement of HP Windows products. The role requires high-level oversight of project dependencies, conflict resolution, and the leadership of significant project reviews to inform strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will be a recognized authority in Microsoft Windows architecture, possessing deep knowledge of software development and debugging on Windows platforms. They will exercise independent judgment in strategy development, driving innovative solutions, and mentoring team members. With a proven track record in program management, the candidate will facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and R&D, to ensure cohesive and effective project execution. They will be responsible for defining the overall project approach and architecture, ensuring the delivery of exceptional user experiences and successful project outcomes.ResponsibilityOn site technical support in Microsoft campus for HP commercial and consumer productsInvestigate and resolve complex technical issues, serve as a technical advisor to Microsoft partners, collaborate within and across teams, and utilize advanced troubleshooting tools and best practices.Engage with HP/Microsoft engineering teams to investigate potential product defects and help to driving HP Windows product improvementsEnsure the oversight and coordination of dependencies across the project and resolve or escalate conflictsLead reviews of any significant initiatives, projects or programs that are challenged and provide recommendations as to whether it should continue, be significantly changed, placed on hold or discontinuedConduct regular meetings with HP and Microsoft to inform and alert of any issues and potential risks arising from the performance of the individual projectsDeliver, document, and circulate an end-to-end plan, including activity, dependencies, timing, and ownership. Follow up with specific owners to deliver components of the project on -time Qualifications Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows architecture and internals.Knowledge of software development and debugging on Windows platforms.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently, take Technical Leadership, and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure.Excellent presentation skills and experience of presenting to senior management.Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.Required:Windows ExpertiseIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including OS internals, drivers, applications, language packs, and registry settings.Familiarity with Windows deployment processes and test toolsPlatform DifferentiationUnderstanding the nuances and differences between Intel, AMD, and ARM platformsAbility to adapt software to optimize performance on Windows systemsSoftware Development and DebuggingKnowledge of Windows software development and debugging tools.Experience on Windows OS issues debugging and problem solution.
