Beats is seeking an Associate Product Marketing professional for a full-time role. This position will assist in driving product strategy and positioning via a developed understanding of market trends and landscape, consumer feedback, portfolio expertise, and both internal/external business impact. The Associate Product Marketing role will help guide products through conception, development, launch, and in-market while working with all cross-functional teams during the product life-cycle. The role will interact with our engineering teams to help advance the product portfolio and assortment into a compelling offering that inspires users. This includes the ability to collaborate with engineering to drive product success as well as an understanding of the go-to-market process to launch products in a comprehensive and consistent way. The role will collaborate with a wide range of teams that may include Industrial Design, Human Interface Design, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, Channel and Marketing Communications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a cross-functional environment with an appetite to grow and learn the consumer electronics category, audio, and Beats’ market and user. Description Description - Understand/communicate product features and benefits with product design, engineering, marketing, sales and public relations - Understand and communicate product positioning and outbound messaging as it relates to sales training, campaign development — to ensure all members of the organization can internalize and clearly communicate our product positioning and message - Champion the value proposition and competitive advantage for each product - Lead cross-functional communication to ensure teams are up to date on Beats priorities, relevant initiatives and product development plans - Help drive user studies to better influence product decisions - Desire to understand Beats consumers, their buying criteria, and how they use our products - Use real-time customer feedback to assist with product management and roadmap planning - Work on adjacent projects with various teams as necessary Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 2+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, or related role with an understanding of the product development cycle Familiarity with consumer electronics technologies, products and markets Ability to understand engineering/product development and work with technical teams Ability to operate seamlessly between multiple highly detailed and technical situations with strategic intent Experience and appetite to work cross-functionally, with the ability to synthesize different vantage points (analytics, marketing, engineering, research, operations, etc) Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with executive teams User research experience with the capability of interpreting data and results Analytic skills with the ability to work in spreadsheets and evaluate and interpret data Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Education & Experience Education & Experience BS/BA degree, MS/MA/MBA preferred Additional Requirements Additional Requirements May require some travel, including to headquarters in Cupertino, CA Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $104,000 and $202,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
