Job Summary:Frank Productions is looking for a full-time Technical Manager to join our team in Madison, WI. Frank Productions, a joint venture partner with Live Nation, offers full-service concert promotion involved in every facet of live entertainment events, including talent buying, production, ticketing, marketing, sponsorships, and special events. We produce and promote events in arenas, performing arts centers, theaters, clubs and other venues across the U.S. We operate offices and venues in Madison, WI, Nashville, TN, Columbia, MO, and Charleston, SC.WHAT THIS PERSON WILL DOAct as lead tech for the majority of shows and events at assigned venue, filling in at other venues as neededManage tech advances with the promoter rep for assigned venueSchedule, coordinate, train, and supervise techs for local venues as neededWork closely with other Venue Operations teammates to ensure seamless communication and successful shows and eventsManage workflow and processes by ensuring that deadlines are met, and work is completed correctlyOversee the load-in and load-out of the show from artists, vendors, and others involvedSolve production issues that may arise at any point in a show’s timelineAct as point person with relevant third-party providers for technical questions and needsOversee necessary maintenance and repairs for all technical systems and equipment, coordinating with both internal teammates and external vendorsPrepare and submit maintenance reports and budgets for approval as neededOrder and acquire the proper equipment, systems, and labor in order to meet show objectives and budgetUpdate and provide venue documentation and reports as it relates to the technical functionMaintain a working knowledge of all sound, lighting, and video systems in all area venues All other duties as assignedWHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRINGApplicable experience with tech and sound responsibilities and systemsWillingness to work unconventional hours as job duties demandWillingness to cover shows outside of assigned venue, as job duties demandExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and solve problems using sound decision-making skillsAbility to communicate effectively in a team environment that includes in-person collaboration, group e-mails, and instant messagingAbility to quickly adapt and adjust projects to new expectations and directionCommitted to learning, and fostering an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusionAbility to lead and coordinate projectsProfessional and friendly demeanorAbility to learn and work within systems such as MS Office, project management tools, and other company softwarePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENTPerforms duties while standing and walking, including ascending and descending stairsLifts up to 75 poundsCrouches, kneels, twists, bends, and reaches frequentlyOccasionally works at heights above ground levelUtilizes hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipmentRegularly exposed to large crowds and high volumes of noiseOccasionally works in outdoor conditionsThis position is expected to work forty (40) hours per week or more.
