Job Requisition ID #24WD79503Position Overview:Want to be an integral part of a diverse team while working at a leading Organization?We are looking for a creative and energetic Release Manager who is passionate about driving and executing release management processes across the organization. You will have the opportunity to lead, plan, and manage all release activities in an Agile environment for various release vehicles. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization, focusing on bringing together sub-system components into a complete system-based release.You will work with a team of Release specialists and own the Release Management lifecycle which includes planning, scheduling, coordinating and managing releases. You will interface with Engineering teams to identify deployment dependencies and support the releases. You will be responsible for management of scope, timelines, and quality. You will also track progress and provide regular status updates with key metrics. You will guide multiple teams to higher levels of maturity by continually improving the process, and ensuring that they adhere to Enterprise framework. Where necessary, you will drive program-level continuous improvement to help Engineering teams manage and deploy releases into production. This role requires a high level of accountability and responsibility and provides ample opportunities for growth.Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to the following):Manage Application / Infrastructure releases in a fast paced dynamic environmentWork with Engineering, Build, and QA teams to plan the release as per the defined milestonesWork with Engineering to avoid impacts of branches and code mergesEngage with Engineering and Business to prioritize enhancements and defects into releases.Analyze release blockers, downstream impact, manage dependencies, mitigate risk, conduct release walkthroughs and communicate release statusCreate and manage change tickets, implementation plan, rollback plans and artifacts for releasesLead and coordinate Go-Live activities and ensure the deployment plan is executed seamlessly.Ensure all production deployments comply with IT security policies, engineering guidelines, and standards.Hold defect triage meetings and determine the future avoidanceImplement continuous process improvements by automating manual work and eliminating inefficiencies in the process.Create / manage metrics and dashboard to facilitate a data-driven approachMaintain Knowledge repository on build and release procedures and key information related to releases.Work on a flexible schedule and support releases on weekends, as needed.You could be a great fit if you have:6+ years of working and supporting in an Enterprise software organization.6+ years of managing Enterprise release programSolid understanding of project and program management techniques, methodologies, and best practices.Knowledge of advanced release strategy concepts (CI/CD deployments, auto-tagging, versioning strategy, automation)Technical understanding of development tools, source control, artifact management, and continuous integration build systems. e.g. GitHub, Jenkins, PythonA strong knowledge of change management process and SOX / SOC guidelinesWorking knowledge of SharePoint, ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence.Knowledge of Change governance and ITIL frameworkExperience working with project management tools like MS Project, SmartsheetExperience documenting and improving process around Release Management best practicesExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of technical and business audienceWorks well under pressure and is able to meet tight deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to think strategicallyIs self-driven, great team player, responsive, accountable and detail-oriented.Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environmentLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
