Payroll Senior SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic Payroll team in the APAC region. As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our organization.ResponsibilitiesGather and encompass a broad range of information on hours worked for each employee including full-time, part-time, extra duty & OTCalculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a computer systemReceive approval from upper management for payments when neededAdminister statements of payment to personnel either electronically or on paperOrganized, prepare and maintain all payroll records & information for certificated &/or classified personnelProcess taxes and payment of employee benefitsKeep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiorsPrepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.Maintain payroll files & records, maintain payroll system, review and reconcile payroll records, provide information for Journal entriesRequirements and skills7+ Proven experience as a Snr payroll specialist with good experience working with a third-party Payroll VendorGood knowledge, understanding and experience of working with time off rules, time tracking of shift workers, leaves and the related compliance requirements, working in conjunction with our HR partnersSolid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll taxes such as statutory taxes requirements like POI, etc.Knowledge of RSU and ESPP process is a plusFamiliar with all statutory filing matters in IndiaVery good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the fieldProficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and data baseTrustworthy with attention to confidentialityOutstanding organizational ability with great attention to detailExcellent communication skillsBSc/BA in business, accountingEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
