Lean Manufacturing EngineerDescription -JOB SUMMARYProvides site Process Excellence and Lean Transformation expertise and guidance through the development, documentation, implementation, and validation of Lean Six Sigma applications. Provide education and development opportunities to strengthen overall organizational capabilities. Engrain process excellence improvement energy and capabilities throughout the site.Job RESPONSIBILITIESLean Production System and Lean CultureAdvise Management and provide strategic direction on Lean project selection, integration of resources and prioritizationMonitor and continuously improve the site Lean initiative, related to productivity and quality of operationsIdentify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systemsBe a leader, mentor and coach towards integration of Lean Six Sigma principles, values, philosophies and tools for driving continuous improvementCreate and manage a system to ensure people development, education, motivation, empowerment and involvementEncourage risk taking and experimentation using lean methodologyMaintain proficiency in the latest Lean approaches through networking and participation in Lean conferences and organizations and maintaining personal certifications in Lean applications. Drive Kaizen continuous improvementEstablish employee suggestion system, engagement programs, reward and recognition programs to support innovative thinking while measuring employee understanding and involvementDirect the planning and implementation of Kaizen related activitiesDocument, track, report and quantify improvements.Drive Value Stream MappingCoach teams on VSM fundamentals and perform mapping of processesIdentify areas of improvements and drive action plans. ​​System Measurement and FeedbackTrack sites key continuous improvement metrics and ensure regular updates to key stakeholder Lead in issues resolutionWhere required, may be assigned to lead in Quality related issues resolution using Lean Sigma Problem Solving methodology.Advise management on course of action for effective issues resolution.JOB QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSExcellent leadership and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with staffs across the organization, from technicians to senior management.Understand the fundamentals and principles of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Industrial EngineeringBe proficient in lean tools and processes to coordinate and share knowledge thru out the organization EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSDegree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline preferredSix Sigma Black Belt or Experienced Green Belt certified by recognized organizations in the industry (e.g. ASQ, SME, Shing Prize)Experience in change managementSustainable impact is HP’s commitment to create positive, lasting change for the planet, its people, and our communities.
