About the team: Be a part of Turo’s Early Career Engineering Program with a start date of 8/20/2024. **This role will be based in our San Francisco headquarters and is hybrid and not a remote role. We are looking for brilliant software engineers who have a passion for consumer products and want to join an energetic team that is changing the way people think about travel. We ship code daily, A/B test extensively, and have a primary role in creating the product from inception to implementation. There’s much to do, and you’ll be responsible for making some real cool stuff happen. Our APIs, internal services, and web app are at the core of our stable of software that’s reinventing mobility. Be a member of a growing team of talented engineers and designers and play a major role in shaping an exciting app that’s changing how people travel and think about car ownership. Learn more about our Engineering team here: https://www.beforeyouapply.com/team/engineering-at-turo What you will do: Use the latest technologies to enable a first-class experience for a consumer marketplace.       e.g. SpringBoot/Hibernate, JUnit, Mokito, Github, MySQL, GraphQL, Docker, msvc & monolithic architectures, Kotlin  Produce high-quality maintainable code, test it, collaboratively review it, and ship it. Collaborate extensively with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop product features that drive our metrics. Work efficiently in a constantly changing and growing environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are desired. Your profile: You are a strong communicator; explaining technical concepts and trade-offs to product managers, designers, and engineers is exciting to you. You enjoy solving problems and helping others meet their goals. Your education has honed strong computer science fundamental skills in software engineering, data structures, algorithms, database concepts, distributed systems and search, and you’re ready to take those skills to the next level, building software in a professional setting. Bonus if you have: Fluent in at least one language - e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python, Ruby, Go, or C Bachelor's/Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field The SF base salary target range for this full-time position is $114,000-$143,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in San Francisco, CA. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
