We are seeking a people manager and product leadership role with in-region Audio/Home Technical Operations team. This role has cradle to grave product responsibility, handling multi-functional technical team in a matrix organization, interacting with multi-functional leaders within the line of business and developing support strategy for the product roadmap. Description Description In this highly visible and exciting role, you will lead the selection, implementation & optimization Apple’s Audio and Home products manufacturing solutions. There will be deep involvement in the entire product life cycle, including:
- OEM partners selection, supply chain development and post ramp continuous improvements activities;
- Lead team by example to develop outstanding factory processes improving on all standard methodologies and known methods, drive SMART factory initiatives through implementation and strategically deploy machine findings solutions;
- Collaborate with Engineering and influencing new product development strategy;
- Work with USA engineering, suppliers, contract manufacturers and Apple internal multi-functional teams to ensure detailed execution of all new product introduction activities;
- Coordinate factory activities, liaison the Asia, US and suppliers through clear communication;
- Work with Product Design Engineering to assess product features for manufacturability and recommend capable assembly processes;
- Dedication to drive yield improvement and warranty cost reduction;
- Develop, coach and establish team competencies;
- Develop site technical, operational and management systems while providing leadership to ensure repeatable successful ramps. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education: Minimum BS degree in Mechanical / Electrical-Mechanical / Industrial Engineering and/or relevant work experience. Minimum 3-5years working experienced in high volume commercial electronics industry, and in relevant job function, e.g. quality engineer, process engineer, PD etc. Understand mechanical drawing, GD&T, and ERS (engineering requirement specification); Familiar with common measurement metrology and FA method; Solid understanding of precision component fabrication and assembly process ; Proficient English, spoken and written; Hands-on in the factory processes, with frequent time spent on the factory floor; Flexible for travel, mostly domestic with possibility of international travel.
