As a DevOps Engineer at Autodesk, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing new service offerings on top of a strong cloud foundation. Reporting to the Engineering Manager in the AutoCAD group, you will be involved in streamlining our development and deployment processes, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring the scalability and security of our infrastructure. You'll be working as part of a larger DevOps team that strives to deliver high quality cloud solutions and infrastructures for the multi-platform AutoCAD application that serves millions of users. This role is hybrid in Vancouver, Canada.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement new service offerings on top of a strong cloud foundationSupport development teams in leveraging our larger machine learning operations (MLOps)Drive the design, implementation, and management for expanding observability infrastructure, keeping up to date with new technologiesLead sustainable incident response, blameless postmortems, and production improvements that result in direct business opportunitiesCollaborate with software development and the infrastructure team to design, implement, and maintain multiple business offeringsAutomate deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure using modern DevOps tools and practicesMonitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutionsManage and secure cloud-based environments (AWS)Implement and maintain configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) using TerraformCollaborate in designing and implementing security best practices throughout the development and deployment pipelinesPeriodical On-Call responsibility, alongside your fellow team membersDefine and document best practices across all pillars of DevOps/SREMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldProven experience in DevOps / SRE or a related field5+ years of experience working with AWS (Amazon Web Services)Expertise with container based technologies, e.g. Dockers, KubernetesExpertise with infrastructure as code, configuration management tools and cloud automation, e.g. Terraform, CloudFormationGood understanding of networking and security conceptsExperience in defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD toolsGreat programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, PowerShellExperience in Linux Systems Administration, scripting and troubleshooting in a production environmentPreferred QualificationsRelevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes certifications)Experience with microservices, serverless architectureKnowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana)Knowledge in Jenkins, Groovy, CDKLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
