Focus is on repairs, corrective maintenance, and complex installations using considerable skilled judgement and has deep understanding of standard operating procedures. Supports the overall team and acts as a mentor to others in resolving incidents.ResponsibilitiesPerforms inspections, maintenance, and repairs of the Access Control System (ACS)and Video Management System (VMS) system of the Data CentersPerforms preventative maintenance on infrastructure and Security devicesAssists Team Lead in coordinating projects and maintenance requestsCompletion of site logs and data-gathering for permits, such as MOPs and scriptsResponds quickly to all on-site incidents and acts as requiredWill provide quick support to on-site staff when applicableAble to manage multiple, complex work requests simultaneouslyEffectively collaborates with internal and external departments and/or contractorsAble to provide input and support to their peers in other regions, states, or countriesOnce up to speed, will be able to manage their own workload in an efficient and professional mannerMust be able to adapt and respond quickly to failed devices and triage multiple issues as neededMust be willing to respond/travel locally between sites as requiredWork OrdersSupports work requests for security installations, de-installations, and customer installsHandles non-standard work requests for security custom orders both internally and externally.  Must be able to coordinate with contractors or vendors as needed.Supports reporting requirements and audit requestsDevelops and distributes Request for Proposals (RFPs) to vendors for security infrastructure projects requiring multiple biddersAble to maintain and repair auxiliary equipment and machines to avoid/minimize downtimeWill support the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the Site’s security equipmentIncident ManagementResponds to on-site security incidents and events, including failures, problems and delays by using deep understanding of standard operating procedures to solve forCompletes reporting and root cause analysis relating to skilled security incidents.Is a skilled specialist on the security incident decision matrix and reports security incident declarations with the Equinix Operations Center (EOC); works with stakeholders for potential Internal Incident Report (IIR)/Post Incident Report (PIR) responseFacility / Infrastructure MaintenanceSupports skilled security related issues for local security requiring considerable judgment in responding to and resolving issues and/or condition reports for the ACS (Access Control System) and VMS (Video Management Systems), in accordance with policies and proceduresIs a specialist on preventative-maintenance for security infrastructure, according to the standard operating procedures, for on-time and accurate security patching and updatesSupports critical security infrastructure operationsParticipates in customer-facing support requests such as: negotiated audits, security custom orders and cage-build initiationCoordinates asset inventory for security IP address management such as: tracking and distributing IP addresses for security equipmentVendor ManagementSupports security vendor work associated to customer-facing security buildouts and internal security infrastructure for highly skilled requestsCoordinates with site management team to interface with third party auditors to assist in providing information needed to fulfill auditory requirements, both internal and externalSite AdministrationHas deep understanding of security processes and procedures and quality control initiatives to ensure deployments meet published standardsSupports the team in recommending new methods and procedures on new assignmentsAnalyzes and maintains security drawings and site-specific supporting documentationCollaborationAssists security stakeholders to support skilled maintenance activities that require considerable judgementSupports the development of training initiatives on security policies, processes and initiatives for data center personnelSupports cross-functional teams, and coordinates security installations that may impact facility infrastructuresHas deep knowledge of security policies and procedures and can successfully review and participate in multiple project initiativesQualificationsTypically requires a high school diploma and 4-6 years of equivalent work experienceEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
