As a Senior Experience Researcher at Autodesk, you will play a pivotal role in our team, focusing on delivering user-centered insights that inform and enhance our products and services.Reporting to the Research Manager for AEC Platform, the Senior Experience Researcher will collaborate with a talented team of UX Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other important partners, specifically working with our AI & ML teams. You'll join a larger User Research team and you'll contribute to building innovative solutions in the AEC space. You'll apply your research skills and collaborate with global teams across the company. You will build strong relationships across different teams to help us achieve our goals.When applying, please include your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and qualifications.ResponsibilitiesPartner with AI & ML teams to inform product and design decisionsPlan and execute qualitative research throughout the design and development lifecycle, from early strategic direction through post-release validationEmploy different research methods to achieve product and organizational impact, including contextual inquiry, diary studies, interviews, formative and summative usability studies, and quantitative methods, such as surveys and data analyticsCollect and analyse data using empirical and statistical methodologiesTranslate research findings into applicable insightsProvide recommendations to decision-makers and communicate research findings to partnersApply problem-solving techniques to develop innovative solutionsDesign and facilitate workshops for idea generationMinimum Qualifications5+ years of professional experience conducting and leading user experience researchAn interest and understanding of the applications of AI & ML and with hands-on user research experience in this areaExperience analyzing insights and summarize complex data into clear and applicable insightsExperience building partnerships with a variety of product development teamsUp-to-date toolkit of qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools, and the experience to determine the appropriate approach for each situationExperience with human-centered design principles and practicesA solid foundation in problem-solving techniques, applying a holistic and logical approach to research and analysisPreferred QualificationsExperience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industryFamiliarity with using online diary platforms and co-creation techniquesExperience working with data scientists to combine behavioral and attitudinal insights into a holistic narrativeExperience working with AI & ML teams and informing product and design decisions within those teamsUniversity degree in a related field such as Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction or a related/equivalent fieldExperience with mixed or multi-method research approachesExperience facilitating workshops and working groups with extended team members and customersLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
