Senior Serviceability ArchitectDescription -If you are our Senior Serviceability Architect in HP, you will have a chance to:Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.Responsibilities: Leads serviceability/circularity projects and work with internal and outsourced development partners responsible for N+2~3 future product designs and innovations to improve the modularity, serviceability, upgradability of our commercial notebooks and desktops.Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on mechanical design and development.Provides domain-specific expertise and overall Architect/Product Marketing leadership and perspective to circularity design with a deep understanding of PC and PC component design and construction to actually design and build these components, understand the costs and tradeoffs involved, perform various testing as required, partner with ID to get alignment on the designs. This is to get design ready taken into marketing consider for future platforms.Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects to make product more serviceable with adequate understanding of what HP and competitor product serviceability today, modular as well as upgradeable (e.g. CPU, GPU, camera, audio…etc).Envision, propose, develop and execute POCs of various concepts that will further our circularity efforts, taking into account customer and partner pain points and present / demo these concepts to management.Having deep understanding the competitive landscape (including performing tear downs), technology trends and innovations in the space, as well as work with Product Marketing to evaluate startups that may have compelling solutions to be included in our product and perform POCs.Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.Are you a high-performer?
