Cloud Engineer 1Description -Job Summary• This role is responsible for supporting the development of new software solutions and services using cloud software development techniques. As a part of software cloud engineering team, the role assists in design, build, and management of cloud systems and infrastructure including software, services, and solutions designed for flexibility, scalability, and resiliency to support current and future business needs in automated, repeatable way.Responsibilities• Designs and develops solutions that protect and manage cloud native apps and data.• Assists in the design and implementation of new cloud-based systems.• Develops and coordinates cloud architecture over various areas, including application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and security.• Collaborates with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.• Ensures efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.• Works with senior engineers in the design and deployment of software in cloud environments.• Takes direction from senior engineers with regards to best practices within the cloud engineering function.• Troubleshoots incidents, identifies root causes, fixes and documents problems, and implements preventative measures.• Supports priority projects with direction, maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and sharing information via standardized reports.Education & Experience Recommended• Four-year Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.• Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in distributed & cloud computing, software & cloud design, programming languages, agile development methodologies, or a related field.Preferred Certifications• AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, CSA certifiedKnowledge & Skills• Software Engineering• Agile Methodology• Software Development• Computer Science• Java (Programming Language)• JavaScript (Programming Language)• Amazon Web Services• Application Programming Interface (API)• Python (Programming Language)• Full Stack Development• React.js• DevOps• Microsoft Azure• Scalability• SQL (Programming Language)• Automation• Kubernetes• Angular (Web Framework)• Microservices• Docker (Software)Cross-Org Skills• Effective Communication• Results Orientation• Learning Agility• Digital Fluency• Customer CentricityImpact & Scope• Impacts own work and acts as a team member by providing information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts.Complexity• Learns to apply basic theories and concepts to work tasks.Disclaimer• This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
