Strategic Development Manager, Supply Chain Manufacturing & OperationsDescription -We are looking for a Strategic Development Manager who will work with supply chain and business stakeholders to program manage strategic initiatives that deliver business enhancements, process improvements, and cost savings.The Strategic Development Manager will lead cross-functional teams providing direction and guidance to develop and deploy capabilities, processes & policies. In this role you will be responsible for driving and delivering on key strategic initiatives from ideation through implementation. This role drives the overall process for the organization and its executive leadership to enable decision making through analyzing, synthesizing, and recommending implementation solutions. In this role you will help organizations manage change and solve problems, so they operate more efficiently and improve business performance. This work requires a blend of strategic thinking, program management rigor, relationship building and business analysis.The Strategic Development Manager will manage business change and business improvement projects. Key manufacturing functional areas include Quality Management Systems, New Product Introduction and Factory Operations. While this role requires interaction with the technology and product management organizations, it is not a technical project management role. The manager will work with senior project sponsors as well as project team members and stakeholders of varying levels of seniority and experience across the organization.How you will make an impact:Project/Change Management Planning: Work with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, benefits, and deliverables; and create, maintain, and communicate project plans throughout the life of the project. Project/Change Management Execution: Manage activities across all functional areas of a project; manage relationships with key stakeholders; manage project risks and issues; coach and manage the project team to drive completion of deliverables; work with Change Manager to devise and implement change management interventions.Strategic Development & Support: Act as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall supply chain strategies and long-term goals of the organization. Advise on best practices for achieving successful implementation of strategy within the context of your projects. Work with peer project managers to identify opportunities within related and dependent projects for greater organizational efficiency and delivery of success.Project/Change Management Growth and Development: Remain current on project and change management techniques, best practices, and methodologies. Coach and mentor colleagues across the business on best practice. Leverage industry and subject matter expertise to contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas in supply chain projects and programs.What we are looking for:Relevant Project Management experience leading supply chain programs globally and across multiple business units, functions, and geographiesStrong business acumen and technical knowledge across multiple supply chain disciplines and business units, with an understanding of emerging trendsTypical experience includes leading, designing and/or implementing large scale supply chain programs globally and across multiple business units, functions, and geographies.Knowledge of cross-industry manufacturing activities including Quality Management Systems, New Product Introduction, manufacturing validation & design testing, and engineering operations best practices.2-3 years of proven experience as consultant, preferably large consulting firms.Proven problem-solving skill including critical thinking, decision-making, creativity, and information processing.Proven track record of project delivery; especially with global teams working in a highly matrixed structure.Able to work independently; uses own initiative and makes decisions effectively within parameters.Strong networking and communication skills; ability to create and work in a collaborative environment.Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.Strategic thinker who can identify and promote opportunities for improved organizational efficiency.Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field.Cross-Org Skills• Effective Communication• Results Orientation• Learning Agility• Digital Fluency• Customer CentricityImpact & Scope• Impacts large functions and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects.Complexity• Provides highly innovative solutions to complex problems within established policy.Disclaimer• This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
