We are looking for a Metrology and CMM Inspector to join our team. The goal of this Metrology and CMM Inspector at Wisk is to ensure quality and compliance with parts and tooling. You will be part of the Enterprise Quality team that will be building the future of Urban Air Mobility on the next-generation aircraft. Why we need you The goal of this Metrology and CMM Inspector role at Wisk is to accurately inspect parts and tooling for dimensional accuracy and surface defects. You will also be part of tool qualification before first use. This individual will participate in metrology shoots that evaluate tooling before use in production, dimensional inspection of parts, assemblies, and full aircraft, and participate in drawing reviews with engineering partners to assess and inspect the ability of their proposed drawing. The successful candidate demonstrates sound decision-making and is capable of learning our tools and software applications. In this role, the candidate must be a highly motivated, forward-thinking individual who's willing to expand roles within the greater Enterprise Quality team.  What you will do: As part of the Enterprise Quality organization, you will work closely with our production and engineering stakeholders and act as a representative of the Enterprise Quality team to make dimensional inspection determinations. Use your knowledge to apply and advise on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and concepts to perform work and assist peers. Apply your previous experience programming and operating a variety of metrology equipment including, but not limited to, Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and Laser scanner, tracker, portable CMM (ARM) to inspect prototype parts, prototype tooling, and emergent facility issues. Have a high attention to detail and can identify both cosmetic and technical discrepancies from inspection data collected by metrology equipment. Partner with Tool Engineering to perform tool drawing reviews to ensure inspectability with available measuring tools. Able to work in a cross-functional team to qualify and troubleshoot inspection media tooling. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interact with management, team members, and external vendors via inspection reports or verbal briefings. You are a highly motivated, self-starting individual with a broad set of skills and never afraid of facing complex technical challenges You are a solution-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communications to suit the intended audience. You can adapt quickly or propose changes needed to achieve early results in a timely fashion You embrace challenges, and commitments and deliver results within reasonable expectations. You are a positive team player Required Experience: 3+ years of experience using typical dimensional inspection equipment, such as a CMM and Laser Tracker. 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting GD&T callouts on engineering blueprints and drawings. Experience using metrology software. Experience authoring inspection reports. Experience documenting nonconforming conditions found. Must be a team player and able to effectively collaborate with different personnel from different departments. Desired: 5 or more years performing dimensional inspections Experience using the following computer applications: JIRA, Teamcenter and G-suite tools.
