Guidewire is an exciting, fast-paced environment requiring the ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. We are looking for a Workplace Operations Supervisor to join our team to develop long term plans and continue to build the operations team. The position requires poise, tact and diplomacy while communicating with internal and external customers. The selected candidate will assist with oversight of building operations, safety elements and building maintenance in partnership with building management, vendors, and suppliers. The incumbent will manage on-site operations and provide cross-functional support across our organization. This position is an onsite role based in our Mississauga office. Primary Responsibility: Maintains site operational policies, objectives, initiatives, budget, workplace vendor management, communication, and administrative services Creating a work environment that aligns with our core values by incorporating ESG practices into our design and providing sustainable and measurable reductions to our environmental impact Lead the JHSC committee and participate in the the Building Emergency Response Team (BERT) Plans office and equipment layouts utilizing SpaceIQ to economize operations and maximize people productivity and collaboration opportunities. Manages operational budget including equipment, installation, labor, janitorial, onsite food and beverage services and other related costs. Responsible for space planning, including relocation, design, communication and reconfiguration. Identifies, designs and implements workplace policies and/or processes relevant to cross functional business operations to ensure the highest standards of services Hospitality services including front desk support, conference room management, kitchen maintenance, catering, and guest services Develop systems to provide operational metrics with intent to streamline process and optimize SLA’s Setup and takedown of furniture and equipment, reconfigurations, learning center, outdoor terrace, company meetings, and special events. Collaborate on global initiatives providing support for regional offices as required As an individual contributor this role will manage and respond to Workplace service tickets. Key Competencies: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education 3+ years experience in facilities, operations, sustainability and property management IFMA Certified or associated preferred Resolves issues in creative and effective ways Excellent prioritization and conflict resolution Strong computer skills in Google Suite, Jira and Confluence a plus Analysis of situations or data evaluation of variable factors. Able to manage and negotiate with multiple vendors to deliver services on time & within budget Leadership, coaching and mentoring skills Self-motivated; confident and energetic Ability to work with minimal supervision and always demonstrates professionalism Strong communicator and active listener Possess strong presentations with metrics and verbal/written communication skills Occasionally required to move boxes/stock weighing up to 40lbs Apply for this job
