As a Software Development Manager for the HP Support website, you will lead one of the software development and quality teams in creating innovative solutions to complex problems. You will work closely with Product and Operations teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and excelling both strategically and tactically. A strong bias for action and a passion for innovation on behalf of our customers are essential.You should thrive in environments with high ambiguity and enjoy solving new problems, collaborating with multiple technical teams across different HP locations. We seek someone with a high degree of ownership who wants to have fun while building excellent products.Responsibilities:Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and other stakeholders to understand goals and help develop the best solutions for support.hp.com.Serve as the secondary technical contact for queries related to the project, liaising with external and internal teams.Help team translate business requirements into technical requirements for implementation, and maintain comprehensive documentation including usability guides, process flows, and detailed requirements.Ensure that epics and user stories are well-defined, organized according to Agile standards, and include well-written acceptance criteria.Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, sprint demos, and retrospectives, while owning and running backlog refinement meetings.Oversee software development, AB Testing, and Quality Assurance processes to ensure the highest quality of product delivery.Guide the development team in utilizing front-end and back-end technologies such as Angular, React, Java, AEM, and tools like Selenium, JMeter, Git, Jenkins, etc.Education and Experience Required:Proven track record of collaborating with various cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.Extensive experience with all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from conceptualization to implementation, with exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum).Hands-on experience in web development using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular 2+, React, Java, and AEM.Strong Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.Typically 10-14 years of relevant experience in software development.Other Skills:Using software applications design tools and languages.Hands on experience with applications like Jira, Agile Manager, MS Projects, ALM and Smart SheetsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
