We seek an outstanding Head of Songwriter & Publisher Partnerships to lead our SPP team. You will develop, build and maintain Spotify’s relationships with the songwriter & publishing industry across the world, creating opportunities for partnership and creative services. You will lead the team building impactful and innovative songwriter & publisher partnerships utilizing on-platform tools and off-platform marketing to ensure that songwriters & the publishing industry overall see Spotify as the #1 partner for songwriters. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music. What You’ll Do Lead the global team to identify, analyze, and execute opportunities to drive growth for Spotify and the publishing industry. Develop & maintain the strategy to grow Spotify’s partnerships with songwriters, publishers and industry bodies. Work cross-functionally with licensing, legal, Tech & Product, ALP, PR/comms, editorial, marketing, and finance. Provide business strategy, framework, guidance and insight to different areas of Spotify’s songwriter & publishing program. Develop creative services and tools for Spotify to provide to publishing companies & songwriters. Optimize existing product initiatives and support new areas of exploration in publishing. Communicate across internal stakeholders on behalf of songwriters, publishers, collecting societies and other industry bodies to maximize the value and performance of these partnerships. Educate and advocate on behalf of Spotify to songwriters, publishers, collecting societies and the publishing community, working with PR to create a clear messaging strategy for the publishing industry.  Troubleshoot and manage key relationships to maintain active dialogue with partners. Who You Are You are an experienced leader with a deep understanding of music publishing, from creative development to digital music rights and copyright admin. Experience working with publishers, PROs/Collecting Societies and songwriters. You have knowledge of digital music and streaming; key stakeholders, business models, market dynamics and opportunities. You are experienced at working across different cultures and timezones. You have the ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial & ambiguous environment. You are a confident and articulate presenter, both to small and large audiences. You have a history of performance with the ability and tenacity to execute. You have strong team organization and project management abilities. You are a team player who recognizes that we are scaling fast, and can listen to and voice viewpoints internally. You have a high level of comfort interfacing with all levels of management (externally and internally) and to communicate cross-functionally in a structured and clear manner to influence outcomes. You have an excellent network of contacts in the publishing & songwriting worlds. You are fluent in both written and spoken English. Fluency in another language is a plus. Where You’ll Be This role will be based out of Los Angeles, New York or Nashville The United States base range for this position is $ 147,875 to $ 211,250 , plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave.
