The Mac System Quality team is looking for a Software Debug Engineer responsible for debugging problems in an automated system that tests Mac computers. In this role, you will be part of a team of multi-disciplinary engineers who have created an automated system to measure performance of the macOS stack and HW. Make a difference to deliver great products that our customers will love. Description Description We are looking for an engineer who is passionate and great at debugging problems. You will solve issues found in the automated test system and find practical workarounds. The dial candidate will be very hands-on, well-organized and highly detail oriented. You will investigate the details of the test results, discover problems in the Mac performance and report the problems clearly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Debug and fix device hardware, software, automation failures
- Analyze test results in detail
- Identify trends in the data
- Isolate problems and write bug reports
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in learning new technologies and will proactively propose improvements for the automation system.
NOTE: This will be a 12 month fixed term contract position.
