The opportunity
The Production and Manufacturing roles bring Magic Leap’s revolutionary AR capabilities to life, converting our complex technical developments into consumer and enterprise AR products. Working very closely with the Product Development & Engineering teams, production and manufacturing teams are responsible for the production activities in our manufacturing and field site environments to optimize resource usage, minimize costs, and maintain the highest quality standards of our AR products. Activities include planning, managing, and reviewing production operations to achieve output and quality objectives; undertaking production activities to transform tangible inputs (e.g., raw materials or semi-finished goods) or intangible inputs (e.g., ideas, information, know-how) into finished products or services; developing and implementing production schedules to ensure the effective use of labor, tools, plant, and equipment; operating, monitoring and maintaining machines and production equipment.
As a Manufacturing Operator within our Optical Engineering team, you will perform various tasks in a manufacturing setting to support the production process including assembling components, calibrating machines, adjusting settings, and ensuring proper functioning before production begins.
This role is based in Boulder, CO and will require in-office presence frequently. Relocation assistance is not offered.
What you’ll do
Perform 6S activities and to look for safety and ergonomic opportunities.
Monitors and documents critical process parameters, environmental conditions, and equipment readings within the clean room, including maintaining accurate records, logbooks, or batch records to ensure traceability, process control, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians to produce high quality material at the required rates.
Ensures product quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
The experience you bring
2+ years of hands-on experience in a technical manufacturing facility.
High School Diploma or GED. We are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
This position primarily works in a Class 100 cleanroom environment. You must be able to suit up.
Adhere to all defined Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations and seek clarification whenever Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations are either unknown or unclear
Able to safely pick up items weighing up to 50 lbs
It’s exciting if you also have
Experience with Google Suite and Windows 10 software.
Experience in a Cleanroom environment.
