Description Description Apple’s Biophotonics Group is seeking a scientist with experience in simulation tools of biological systems. The candidate will join a team of innovative scientists and engineers to design, validate, and implement the next generation of bio-sensing technologies. The candidate will have experience contributing to optical simulators that propagate light through biological tissue. The ideal candidate will have experience with methods to increase simulation signal-to-noise ratio. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications BS and 10+ years of relevant experience. Strong programming ability in Python, Matlab. Experience with ray tracing simulation tools. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience increasing signal-to-noise ratio of simulated datasets. Experience building production-level analysis tools to analyze simulated datasets. Experience with comprehensive testing and verification of code. Familiarity with optical modeling of scattering and absorbing media. Strong in teamwork, verbal/written communication skills, and attention to detail. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
