Job Requisition ID #24WD79286Position OverviewThe DevOps Engineer position continually enhances our continuous integration/continuous deployment process (CI/CD) ensuring smooth operation in GCPay’s infrastructure as a code (IaC) environment. This position is responsible for release engineering, infrastructure provisioning and management, system administration, security, and DevOps advocacy. As such, the DevOps Engineer role requires a individual with a wide-ranging knowledge of both development and operations, including coding, infrastructure management, system administration, and DevOps toolchains.Responsibilities Plan, implement, and maintain the production environment and infrastructure Managing code repository and deploymentsFacilitate the implementation of new infrastructureEstablish and oversee software development automation across cloud providers like AWS and AzureCollaborate with development team to improve management and maintenance of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelinesMonitoring system performance and administering servers Document deployment cycle proceduresImplement clean and maintainable infrastructure-as-code adhering to industry best practicesMinimum QualificationsExperience & EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical field; or 5+ years in a DevOPs role5+ years’ experience in Linux tools and shell scripting or other Linux automation3+ years’ experience managing an AWS environment3+ years’ experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD3+ years creating, executing, and troubleshooting complex, automated processes used to configure servers and/or deploy codeKnowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)Mastery in the use of infrastructure automation toolsets like Code, Terraform, Packer, AnsibleAbility to code and script in multiple languages as well as automation frameworks like Python, Ruby, and GoProficient with containerization, Kubernetes preferredHands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.An understanding of the best security practices and automating security testing and updating in the CI/CD (continuous integration, continuous deployment) pipelinesUnderstanding of operational monitoring toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAn ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyProcess-oriented with great documentation skillsKnowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available serviceExperience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologiesSupervisory DutiesNoneWork Environment and Physical DemandsEnvironment – Indoors, home officeProlonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computerMust be able to lift 15 pounds at a timeMust be able to work hours designated: M-F, 8 am – 5 pm Local, Hours may vary dependent on team needsLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $110,300 and $190,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
