About the Role As an engineer at Grow, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a fast-paced, impact-oriented team where autonomy is balanced with collaboration and support. You’ll own important features and work full-stack (Flask/Python on the backend, React/TypeScript on the frontend, infrastructure on AWS). Grow is a tech-enabled company and not purely a software business, so understanding how the business works will be integral to your job. What You'll Do We have multiple roles open. Examples of projects you may work on include: Driving care outcomes for our clients: You’ll work to improve outcomes for clients across their care journey by providing actionable insights to their providers about their progress, adding tools to our telehealth experience, and offering additional exercises and resources outside of sessions. Optimizing search ranking and performance at scale: With thousands of providers who accept many different insurance types, have unique backgrounds, and differing amounts of availability, help us create a search algorithm that matches clients with the right therapist for them. Improving the performance and versatility of our in-house telehealth platform: Most of our providers conduct their therapy sessions on Grow’s video chat telehealth web app. You’ll work on improving audio and video quality, as well as adding features that help therapists document care within the session. Iterating on tools to help providers manage their own practice: Providers use the Grow portal to manage their business. You’ll work on improving practice features such as appointment scheduling, caseload management, credentialing, and profile creation to find the best patient matches possible. You’ll also build a compliant and secure note-taking system that empowers providers to track and measure progress. Who You Are 2+ years in engineering: You’ve built and scaled systems, made complex engineering decisions, and proven your technical skills in the industry. Full-stack web development experience: You have experience working with APIs, web frameworks, understand HTML, CSS, JS, and at least one backend language. Customer-focused: You build through a user-centric lens and incorporate product and design considerations into your technical decisions. You write code to solve user problems, not just for the sake of solving technical problems. Team player: You are collaborative by nature, relish camaraderie and group wins, and are seen by colleagues as a steadfast partner and source of encouragement. You communicate with kindness and embrace diverse perspectives. Structured thinker: You systematically break down complex problems into smaller, manageable parts and build according to an achievable schedule. The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000 per year.
