We lead initiatives which drive growth and scale for the future success of partners and Workday. Responsibilities include business process design and improvement, GTM planning and execution, data analytics and reporting insights, and systems requirements design and support.About the RoleWorkday is hiring an experienced data and reporting analyst to lead the Global Partner Business Intelligence & Reporting team. The team is responsible for gathering business data requirements to build dashboards, reports and analysis to support all facets of Workday’s partner ecosystem. We are looking for a problem solver to partner and support our internal teams and external partners by understanding program and business goals, modeling and analyzing data, visualizing business insights to unique sets of collaborators and providing recommendations to help drive outcomes and decisions.We are searching for someone who has a passion for quality and data accuracy who enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents in a multifaceted, fast paced environment. To be successful, you are detailed, self-motivated, results oriented, and an excellent communicator. You are at ease defining and gathering reporting insights needed from non-technical collaborators and translating them into visual business insights. You excel at enabling the use of data to non-technical collaborators whether via dashboards, spreadsheets, reports, or presentations that are accurate, easy-to-understand and useful. You are a builder who excels at defining data models which translate into actionable, visualizations for your team.This role will:Provide leadership and mentorship to a small team of Partner Business Intelligence AnalystsLead interviews with key business leaders and team members to deeply understand what business problems we are trying to solve, key questions to be answered using data, and how the tools developed will fit into the business process to be supportedDevelop interactive and easy-to-understand dashboard or report visualizations using standard methodologies to effectively solve business problems by enabling business insights and making recommendationsDevelop training collateral and deliver training to the end-users on new and existing dashboardsAnalyze/curate large volumes of data using various tools like Tableau prep, SQL, or any other data-modeling tools etcRecommend definitions for new and updated data models, and support metric data governance and documentationAct as a trusted advisor when questions arise regarding Partner BI solutions and metricsPartner with internal BT, BI, and Systems teams to define new or modified data models needed in the data warehouseCreate and maintain repository of certified metric definitionsDesign, build and publish Tableau Data Sources to support dashboard requirements, ad-hoc analysis while ensuring standard methodologiesAn authority in identifying and resolving dashboard, data, and security issues reported by business users and fellow team membersThoroughly QA new and modified data sources/dashboards for accuracy and functionalityAssist with day-to-day support of reports/dashboard users, including fielding questions and ad-hoc customizations to the reportSystem/dashboard testing of new functionality or bug fixesAbout YouBasic Qualifications2+ years leading teams as a people manager5+ years of Salesforce.com system and reporting experience.5+ years of experience building visualizations in Tableau, SQL, data preparation and Excel Other QualificationsExperience in advanced SQL, data modeling, and data preparation.Solid grasp of Software Sales processes and how pipeline and closed revenue cycles are measured, forecasted, and reported.Experience collaborating with BT/IT on architecting data solutions/pipelines.Experience mentoring team members on technical development standards and reporting best practicesSmartsheet Advanced User a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills; effective communication with different levels within the organization as well as collaborating with multi-functional business partners and technical teams.Impeccable attention to detail. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
