Workday Student is part of Workday's suite of cloud-based enterprise solutions. The team’s core mission is to improve the work day for Higher Education administrators and faculty through greater technical capability, while empowering students on their educational journeys. If you are passionate about guiding development teams to build high quality, scalable user experiences through partnership, collaboration, and iteration with product managers, architects, and engineers then this is the role for you.About the RoleAs an engineering leader within Student, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of application developers by example to build and maintain Workday's Student product(s) & framework(s).Attract and onboard software application engineers of all levels.Direct the activities of a software application development team delivering new features for the Workday Student product.Work in a highly collaborative environment and with multi-functional teams to deliver an outstanding Workday product.Deeply care about the product and have a keen eye for quality.Lead all aspects of the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and enhancement of a high quality Workday Student product.Interact with the Dev teams, Product Managers, QA and customers to solve everyday problems in an innovative way.Provide operational expertise to Workday support teamUnderstand and promote industry standard methodologies.Strong interpersonal & talent development skills.About YouThe successful candidate will have experience building & growing software engineering teams, priorities & dependencies with challenging deadlines, be passionate about building high quality enterprise applications and be innovative in their ideas from a technical, process, and relations point of view.Basic Qualifications:8+ years of professional software development experience.3+ years of experience leading a team with 5+ engineers.BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experienceOther QualificationsProven leadership skills and experience of motivating engineers.Experience with agile development methodologies.Solid communication skills, both written and oral.Strong technical recruiting skills, as the team will be growing.Ability to drive complicated projects with deadlines.Production performance and operation support experience in SaaS environment.Attention to detail and deep understanding of engineering standard methodologies.Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
