As a development manager for our product teams, you will be leading 2 teams of hardworking, dynamic and passionate software engineers. Working with architects, product managers and key partners, you will facilitate the delivery of innovative features which are crafted to meet the needs of our large and diverse customer base. The team’s goal will be to accelerate the delivery of features in an agile environment while safeguarding the high quality our customers expect from Workday applications.The successful candidate will manage multiple priorities with ambitious deadlines, be passionate about building high quality enterprise applications and be innovative in their ideas from a technical, process and relationships perspective. Identify new opportunities and work with product managers to support areas beyond product developmentWork in a highly collaborative environment and with cross-functional teams to deliver an outstanding Workday productCoordinate the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and improvement of a high quality Workday productInteract with the development teams, product managers, quality and customers to solve everyday problems in an innovative wayUnderstand and promote industry standard methodologyMentor team members in various roles, including assisting with career growth and personal developmentAbout YouBasic Qualifications:You have 3 or more years of proven experience managing and coaching software developersComputer Science or relevant 4 year degreeYou have experience developing Cloud / SaaS enterprise solutionsYou have experience working in production support issues post-deploymentYou have experience leading teams that build new product featuresYou have knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated TestingOther QualificationsExperience with HR solutions space is desirableYou see software development as a team sport, and thrive in a highly collaborative agile culture where you’re always guiding and learningYou have a strong focus on delivering high quality software products and you value test automation and performance engineeringYou are proactive and able to deliver on initiatives that you start.You demonstrate the interpersonal skills needed to influence important issues or decisions in a multi-functional environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex thoughts into simple, actionable recommendations; You have the ability to communicate technical complexity in simple termsOur Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
