Electrical Engineering TechnicianStatus: Non-Exempt (hourly) Department: EngineeringPosition SummaryThe Electrical Technician work with the electrical engineering team to debug and test circuit boards, battery packs, fuel cell systems and other electrical assemblies. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a thorough knowledge of electronics and testing equipment, along with the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment. The Electrical Technician must be prepared to adapt to the changing needs of a fast-paced engineering environment.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDebug and test circuit board assembliesDebug and test electrical circuits and systemsSetup and operate electrical test equipmentCreate and debug wire harnessesWork with high voltage circuitry up to 1500VMaintain up-to-date knowledge of Plug Power productsHelp to train new team members in various repair, rework, diagnostic, and testing processesContribute to 5S efforts and support all standards of organization, safety and cleanliness in the departmentAnalyze data and prepare reports as needed in the course of workAdhere to safety standards at all times; this includes all OSHA regulations and facility safety policiesPerform other duties as assignedSome travel requiredEducation and Experience Minimum 2-year associates degree in electrical field or equivalent experienceAt least five (5) years of experience in an electrical technician role; electro-mechanical assembly experience preferredHigh voltage experience preferredBasic familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel software programsQuality focused and detail-orientedTeam player with a positive communication styleStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent task-oriented follow-throughPlug Power, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
