Join us on a mission that matters - one team, one fight.About This Role:The Commerce Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the data foundation of the Commerce business unit, automating and aggregating data from internal systems as well as external vendors and agencies. As a key member of the Commerce Operations team, the Data Engineer collaborates with analysts and Commerce leadership to create data models that power business intelligence and analytics across business planning, cohort analysis, trial experiences, and direct purchase.They are a self-driven individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to quickly comprehend and adapt to emerging priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.To be successful in this role, you should have entry-level exposure to database design, be comfortable dealing with large and complex data sets, have experience leveraging standard cloud-based toolsets, be comfortable using visualization tools, and be able to apply your skills to generate insights that help solve business problems.What You'll Do:Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, clean, and transform data from various sources using tools such as Matillion ETLOptimize data workflows and implement best practices for data management and governanceDevelop and maintain a data platform that serves as the foundation of the Commerce business unit, automating and aggregating data from internal systems as well as external vendors and agencies.Monitor, resolve, and document data alert issues or outages, ensuring minimal disruption to business operationsUpdate and create comprehensive wiki documentation for datasets and data engineering processes, tools, and best practicesEducate your partners: Use your data and analytics experience to ‘see what’s missing’, identifying and addressing gaps in their existing processesWhat You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline1-3 years of industry experience in Data Engineering, BI Engineering, Software Engineering or related field with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasetsExperience with ETL tools and processes, specifically MatillionExperience with SnowflakeDemonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousingHands-on development experience in Python or similar scripting language for automationEffective communication, at scale, through multiple media: presentations, dashboards, company-wide datasets, bots and moreDemonstrated understanding of development processes and agile methodologiesIntellectually curious and willing to learnPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Salesforce, Bizible, MarketoExperience with TableauExperience with Git and LinuxExperience with eCommerce or Business Management a plus#LI-AI1#LI-RemoteBenefits of Working at CrowdStrike:Remote-first cultureMarket leader in compensation and equity awardsCompetitive vacation and flexible working arrangements Comprehensive and inclusive health benefitsPhysical and mental wellness programsPaid parental leave, including adoption A variety of professional development and mentorship opportunitiesOffices with stocked kitchens when you need to fuel innovation and collaborationWe are committed to fostering a culture of belonging where everyone feels seen, heard, valued for who they are and empowered to succeed. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $85,000 - $135,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
