The International Environmental Initiatives team’s mission is to ensure that Apple's products and programs exceed the strictest environmental regulatory requirements. Are you looking for your next career move? We are now looking for an Environmental Program Manager with a focus on chemistry, regulated substances and standardisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that is passionate about being at the forefront of emerging environmental legislative trends. The role entails ensuring compliance of Apple products with restricted substance regulations, engagement in environmental standardisation activities and supporting development of compliance solutions for various requirements under the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. Description Description - Drive regulatory and impact assessments, support advocacy strategy development and execution, and support implementation of product-related substance restrictions in a cross-functional setting - Support regulatory and impact assessment, advocacy and internal implementation of requirements under the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, as well as material declaration related requirements - Represent Apple in standards bodies as well as trade associations - Drive compliance programs on environmental product related regulation Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Proven experience of driving environmental programs; understanding of European policy and stakeholder engagement processes; Established network with the chemical management community, including policy-makers, trade associations and standardisation bodies Deep expert on product chemical regulations (e.g. EU REACH and RoHS) and associated procedures, international chemical conventions, as well as material declaration standards Proven track record in working in Industry standards bodies such as IEC and ISO, as well as international industry associations Experience with communication of product environmental information across international supply chains Ability to effectively communicate complex regulations and technical information to internal product teams Proven ability of being effective in cross-functional, international team settings; Proficiency in English is a must, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; Master or PhD or equivalent experience in Physics, Chemistry ,Environmental Engineering or a related field.
