Senior Cloud Spend Analyst

Job Requisition ID #24WD78821Position OverviewWe are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Cloud Spend Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing our cloud spending, ensuring we are getting the most value from our cloud investments. You will work closely with other teams, including finance, engineering, and product, to identify areas for cost savings and implement effective strategies for optimization. This position is remote in the US, with a preference for Michigan.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze cloud usage data to identify trends and anomaliesDevelop and implement cost optimization strategies, including rightsizing instances, utilizing reserved instances, and negotiating better pricing with cloud providersCreate and maintain reports and dashboards to track cloud spending and progress towards goalsIdentify and implement opportunities to automate cloud cost management tasksAnalyze and report on cloud spend trends across all cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)Work with stakeholders across various departments to understand their cloud usage and optimize their costsContribute to the development and implementation of cloud governance policiesProactively identify and address potential cloud spending risksForecast cloud spending and track progress against budgetContribute to the development and implementation of FinOps best practices within the organizationMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field3-5 years of experience in cloud cost management or a related fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsProficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Looker, Power BI, or similarStrong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologiesExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Strong understanding of cloud billing and pricing modelsPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud cost management tools Microsoft Azure Fundamental CertificationAWS Cloud Practitioner CertificationLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $112,200 and $181,610. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
