The Viewport Team is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and inquisitive Principal Graphics Developer (EMS) to join them. The position is hybrid and is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.As part of this talented technical team, you will research, analyze, develop and maintain cutting-edge technologies. You will contribute to the modernization of our graphics components providing the ability to support and take advantage of the latest and future generations of graphics technology, Hydra, WebGPU, Vulkan and more. You will work within an inclusive culture that offers competitive and equitable salaries, generous benefits, exciting career growth opportunities and a work-life balance.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for implementing core functionality and contributing to planning and implementation of next generation content creation platformActive contributor in the integration of Pixar's Hydra rendering architecture inside new experiences and applications like Autodesk MayaHelp shape and adopt Open Standards and contribute to Open SourceCollaborate with others product teams across AutodeskActively participate in decision making and direction by making recommendations on improving product quality and group productivityBe responsible for code of significant size and complexity which may require a high degree of ingenuity or creativityMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience writing production-quality code3+ years of experience with Computer Graphics application development, ideally involving WebExperience with real-time graphics development using APIs like WebGL, WebGPU, OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan, and MetalCapable to maintain and evolve large projectsExperience with Design Patterns, Object-Oriented development and Data Oriented DesignExcellent oral and written communication with various team members and teammatesPreferred QualificationsUse or contribute to 3rd party SDK in Digital Content Creation SoftwareDevelop code for multiple platformsFamiliarity with USD, Hydra and MaterialX desiredFamiliarity with Emscripten and cross compiling tools and APIsGit/Github knowledgeKnowledge of build and deployment technologies, such as Jenkins and CMakeExperience with JavaScript, Node.js and web development toolsExperience with AWS or a cloud platform similar to AzureLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
