Job Requisition ID #24WD78415Position OverviewAutodesk is looking for a dynamic and experienced Solution Engineer to join our Media & Entertainment Platform Technical Sales team, located on the East Coast, close to many major M&E post-production facilities. You will lead and present the Autodesk M&E software portfolio to our high-profile customers, emphasizing Flow capture and Flow Production tracking (formerly Moxion and Shotgrid respectively). The primary goal of this role is to understand M&E customer challenges and communicate how our solutions can play an important part in solving their problems.You will have experience with the Flim, VFX, Animation, and Games industries, and is interested in developing new skills. You will bring knowledge of Production Management with at least 5 years of real-world industry experience in Film, Television, or Game production. Additionally, , you will bring a deep knowledge of production management and On-site production with at least 5 years of experience as a producer, production assistant, manager, or production coordinator in the VFX, Animation, and/or Games industries.The Solution Engineer partners with sales teams and authorized Autodesk resellers to contribute to the development of a pipeline of prospects and the execution of closing business.ResponsibilitiesYou will perform process assessments for our customers to understand their technical and our challenges. Then identify areas of opportunity to propose Autodesk solutions to address these challengesDemonstrate proposed solutions & product overviews and relate them to the customer's technical and business issues in order to produce sales of Autodesk solutionsYou will conduct technical, professional product presentations and demonstrations of our software in small and large forumsYou will develop long-term customer relationships, and advocate on their behalf towards product development and product directionYou will support the success of Autodesk resellers by training their staff on technical sales through the creation of content that helps communicate the value proposition of our solutionsYou will Contribute to Autodesk blogs and use social media to act as a community builder for the M&E product lineMinimum QualificationsFlow Capture (formerly Moxion) knowledge and application on a film, VFX, animation, or games productionFlow Production Tracking (formerly Shotgrid) knowledge and application on a film, VFX, animation, or games production5 Years of On-Set and production management experience (in a Producer/Manager/Coordinator/Developer role) and an understanding of common production workflows, and pipelines from principal photography to post-productionProjects – examples include Client Consulting, Training, and Internal WorkflowsBS or MS in computer science, data science or related field and/or equivalent experienceFluent in EnglishMust be willing to travel up to 50% of the timePreferred QualificationsExperience with Python, C++, Ruby, JavaScript , GraphQL, and REST API as well as any other scripting language would be advantageousJira knowledge and experience are a significant plus#LI-TG1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $177,800 and $257,400. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range.
