Infinera will collect necessary documents (such as proof of citizenship etc.) to assess license/authorization requirements if you are offered and accept the position.”Junior Program Manager - Optical Networks - Customer Demos & TrialsIn Office, Richardson (Dallas) areaAmericas Region (North America and South America)Infinera designs, manufactures, and sells Optical Network Equipment to the world’s leading telecom operators, tier 1’s, and ICPs (Internet content providers - think Music & Video streaming, social networking).We want a Junior Program Manager to support our sales team & customers in the Americas region. You will be early in your career with 4+ years project or program management experience, where you manage different stakeholders including internal and external customers.Our customers need to see our equipment working in their networks and part of our sales process is to complete customer demos and field trials. This could be at an Infinera lab or at a customer data center. Your job will be to work with the Infinera Sales & Services team to ensure we have the right products ready onsite, along with the right Infinera people to make sure the demo is a success. You do not need to work with our equipment, but you will need a good head for planning and organizing and an ability to drive people to ensure the demos happen on time and successfully. You will then need to get the equipment back to base and with our engineering teams. It is a busy team working with big name customers across a big region, so you will be running multiple projects at once.You will also be serving as a backup to our inventory manager, who is responsible for allocating, transacting, shipping, and other inventory movement related activities to and from our demo pool warehouse located in Dallas (you will be asked to visit this location on occasion). You will work closely with Infinera Logistics/Trade-Compliance to follow processes that are already in place to ensure best practices are followed and our equipment is moved in accordance to all rules and regulations set by both importing and exporting countries.  Backing up the inventory manager will account for 10-15% of your duties, more when the current inventory manager is out of office. Key ActivitiesWorks closely with Marketing, PLM, Manufacturing, Engineering (HW/SW), Test and Technical Support teams to ensure resources are allocated on a timely manner.Analyze current processes and look for improvement and automations.Create & stick to schedules, work plans, and performance requirements while meeting high quality standards.Escalate key issues quickly and effectively and help drive to resolution. When challenges arise, show leadership in pulling cross-functional teams together to address critical issues.Schedule and document meetings, meeting notes, actions, and prepare presentations.Maintain and communicate team status on Intranet.Ability to provide succinct, or compressive reports as needed.Review inventory on hand to justify purchases based on availability and timeline.Supporting other trial PM’s with the allocation and shipment of trials to global locations.Desired Knowledge & ExperienceEarlier in career; 4+ years professional experienceIdeally some experience in program or project management across functions, but not essential.Possess great initiative, flexibility, and have good project leadership skills.Ability to learn and apply the company business process to make an immediate impact.Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter who can set personal goals and independently identify solutions.Great communicator with ability to record key information and present back to technical and non-technical audiences.Has the ability to multi-task within a single project or across multiple programs simultaneously.Must possess excellent organizational skills and excellent attention to detail and processes.Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite particularly Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and SharePoint, experience in SAP, SalesForce.com a plus.Education Required:Degree in Business, Engineering, or another technical subject.#LI-DW1#LI-HybridInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
