In this highly collaborative role, you will lead project management efforts between a variety of Apple engineering teams and external development partners to build state of the art accessories that support Apple strategic initiatives. Our team is seeking a senior engineering project manager to help manage relationships with external strategic partners and drive collaborative discussion between engineering and design teams in support of several new product areas. Projects that you would help to move forward include external branded co-development products, Apple MFi module development, accessory design guidance and specifications, and test infrastructure bring up. Description Description In this dynamic position, you will coordinate and drive early engagements on product architecture, feature definition and program execution. We are looking for someone who is flexible and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically to dynamic project needs. The EPM will interact with all engineering, design and development support disciplines both within Apple and our external partners to create outstanding products. - Establish strategic relationships and represent the project and organization with partners both inside and outside of Apple - Collaborate with Design, Engineering, QA, Legal, Security, Privacy, Business Operations and other organizations - Coordinate architecture discussions and break down complex software/hardware/infrastructure issues into discussion topics to drive engineering and design alignment with support from project team - Establish working cross-functional program plan. Identify and handle program cross-functional dependencies between teams - Communicate development and feasibility needs, establishing milestones for checkpoints and status updates and drive alignment across the organization and between teams - Coordinate with teams to identify issues, prioritize tasks and track risks to schedule and product quality - Provide regular program updates and communicate critical issues as needed to executive team Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines. 5-7 years of product development experience from early concept phases through production, with exposure to hardware, software, test and infrastructure across both development and manufacturing processes 5 years project management experience in consumer product development History of managing business relationships with strategic partners and new product development with cross-functional engineering teams Strong background in hardware and software technologies Experience working with off shore manufacturers and travel to manufacturing sites Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead diverse teams and interact, influence, collaborate, and negotiate effectively at all levels of management Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications M.S. is highly desired Education & Experience Education & Experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $188,000 and $282,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
