Protection Starts with People.  Proofpoint.Job Details:Based out of out of our Sunnyvale, CA or Draper, UT location - Proofpoint is looking Account Manager, who can work well with a team of corporate sales engineers, as well as individually with customers, partners and remote colleagues.This position is primarily an inside sales role with limited travel as needed. The role will demand interaction with large mid-market organizations at senior levels, as well as with technical staff within the traditional IT organization.Responsibilities include the ability to establish strong business relationships at the executive level, conducting sales presentations, coordinating multiple resources within an account and successfully closing business for Proofpoint.The successful candidate will possess a strong business acumen, ability to build a strong business pipeline, accurately forecast and close business and have strong interpersonal and presentational skills.This position is required to be onsite Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at either our Sunnyvale, CA or Draper, UT office.Job Requirements:The Account Manager will be responsible for working with our existing customers in a consultative manner to identify additional solutions from the Proofpoint portfolioDrive the entire sales process from start to finish including opportunity identification, introductory meetings, product demonstration, customer Q&A, as well as negotiation and closingDevelop, customize, and utilize effective close plans to navigate and manage the sales processTeam up with our world class Sales Engineering team to devise and execute account strategies and plansEngage with our rapidly expanding channel partner network to educate, inform, and drive incremental revenue Interact with the management team in 1-1, team meetings and via forecasting and reporting to provide critical updates, and strategic account planningProvide outstanding and high touch customer service, including escalation and coordination of support issues as neededBecome a perpetual student of Proofpoint products, and the ever changing CyberSecurity industry!Senior level team members will also help coach and develop newer team members, as well as participate in the interview processYou can achieve your quota, but quite frankly we would love you to blow it out of the water!May require modified work hours to cover accounts in other time zones, and occasional travel for key accountsOccasional travel as required.This position is required to be onsite Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays in the Sunnyvale, CA or Draper, UT office.Why ProofpointProtecting people is at the heart of our award-winning lineup of cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success.  We’re a customer-focused and a driven-to-win organization with leading-edge products.
