If you will be relocating for this position, some relocation assistance may be provided.#LI-HybridThe Electrical Sourcing Manager - Electrical Components, in working closely with our Engineering teams, will guide a team jointly responsible for commercial relationships with suppliers,  cost negotiations, continuity of supply, sourcing strategy, supply risk mitigation and diversification of the supply chain to aid Sonos overall supply chain growth. Working with our US/Asia based teams, this leader will engage our US based Product Development, PRL, PCL, Materials Program Management, Supplier Quality, and Industrial Design from initial product development through EOL. The candidate for this leadership position will have strong technical and commercial skills,  knowledge of  semiconductor supply chains and  innovative technology trends  that will allow the candidate to spearhead advantaged supply chain strategies in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. What You'll Do:Manage supplier relationships and commercial activities such as business and technology reviews, RFQs, and roadmap/strategy discussions Craft comprehensive commodity and business strategies aimed at maximizing efficiency and driving down costs through strategic initiativesDirect executive business reviews with internal/ external stakeholdersEstablish commodity strategic direction by working with our technical teams, understanding the technical and the necessary business requirements that allow for a competitive advantage and position us for profitable growth.  This requires a deep understanding of the supply base, technical needs and cost structures. Build robust supply chains based on product requirements and needs at the most basic levels of our supply chain to ensure that we have a complete and thorough understanding of the Sonos supply chainEnsure continuity of supply. Set up long-term/ short-term capacity planning with supplier, partner with Operations and Material teams to schedule supply to meet Sonos’s component demandCollaborate with Product design and Engineering teams to review initial specifications of the parts/modules recommend sources to influence technical decisions in early phase of the program  Be able to manage multiple projects in parallel  Evaluate technical and business risks, analyze based on the data and create mitigation plans/alternativesNeed to assist management of development builds, materials, and any risk to execute successful ramp in NPI stage What You'll Need:BS degree with strong technical acumen and business understanding10+ years work experience in sourcing related field Ability to toggle between strategic and detail oriented thinkingTop-notch negotiation skills Ability to influence cross functional teams Demonstrated ability to apply analytical techniques to problem solvingStrategic thinker and result orientedNatural leadership competencies; influences others through style and subject matter expertiseAn ability to balance business and technical objectives in decision makingExcellent communication/presentation skillsAbility to effectively work in multicultural global business environmentPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor degrees or Master degree  in electrical engineering preferredTravel within US as well as internationally up to 25% of the time Experience in consumer electronics industry Established relationships with suppliers and supply chainsExperience in systems - Arena, Microstrategy, Tableau, SAP Hands-on experience in any of the following: Electrical engineering, Semiconductor markets, Pricing strategy for electrical parts Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria.
