Senior Power Electronics and Interconnect Procurement EngineerDescription -This role is responsible for leading a complex supply chain sub-category, developing and executing sourcing strategies aligned with the organization's strategic goals, and conducting in-depth data and industry analysis in the areas of Power Electronics (Custom and Off-the-Shelf Power Supplies, AC/DC converters, AC/AC converters,....) and interconnect (cable harnesses, Active Optical Cables, dynamic and static cables, FFC , custom and catalogue interconnect systems,.....) for industrial applications. The role collaborates with senior managers to understand business priorities and influence the industry and marketplace within moderately complex categories. The role involves leading supplier selection activities, negotiating contracts, and managing day-to-day operations of large and complex suppliers. Primary focus will be for Large Format and 3D Printer business. He/She will work in an international organization, interacting with suppliers and organizations worldwide. He/She will have to work very close with R&D to understand new technology needs, provide market and design for cost, quality & manufacturability inputs, and industrialize the assigned parts and subsystems. He/She will have to master the market related Power Electronics manufacturing and components/modules suppliers, continuously improving Cost, Quality and Assurance of Supply, and identifying adjacent new business opportunities and potential opportunities to consolidate, reuse and simplify portfolio.ResponsibilitiesLeads a complex individual supply chain sub-category and assumes responsibility for the development and execution of sourcing strategies that contribute to the achievement of strategic vision and goals.Conducts complex data and industry analysis, including costs analysis, competitive analysis, etc., and reports results to senior management to aid in data-driven decision making.Liaises with senior stakeholder to understand business priorities and translate them into supply chain strategies combining business and technical aspects to drive an E2E strategy.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze existing business processes and develop and utilize supply chain, business, and financial modeling tools.Drives supply base optimization by leading complex supplier selection activities and negotiating acceptable contracting outcomes using known solutions.Holds responsibility for day-to-day operations of suppliers, and partners with them in strategic development.Collaborates with senior management to ensure that the company's procurement policies are followed and that compliance metrics are met or exceeded.Identifies areas using cause and effect thinking, advises senior level business leaders on all contract risk areas, and provides inputs on risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operations strategies.Identifies challenging contract risk Assesses current and evolving business models in the marketplace, and leverages the insights to engage with stakeholder managers and grasp business priorities and translate them into actionable procurement plans.Growing a strong partner relationship by building personal empathy and thru proactive and fair interactions.Periodical business reviews to suppliers, including performance evaluation and development plan.Ensure the procurement technical deliverables are met, including parts/subassemblies specs clarification, manufacturing processes, tooling, Quality Plans...Project Manager for assigned Procurement processes or projects, leading their implementation within the organization.Leader for other junior engineers and contingent workers to drive process improvements and excellent operational execution within his/her area of responsibility.Education & Experience RecommendedAt least Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline.7-10 years of work experience, preferably in R&D, Operations, Procurement, Supply chain, or a related field managing Power Electronics or Interconnect.Specific studies in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Program Management is a plus.Knowledge & SkillsEffective Communication• Results Orientation and hands on-attitudeLearning AgilityDigital FluencyCustomer CentricityProgram and Partner managementPeople LeadershipProgram ManagementQuality MindsetCross-Org SkillsEffective CommunicationResults OrientationLearning AgilityDigital FluencyCustomer CentricityImpact & ScopeImpacts function and leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.ComplexityWorks on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.DisclaimerThis job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
