3PO Procurement Operations ManagerDescription -Job Summary• This role is responsible for assisting the efficient procurement of goods and services required for the organization's operations, contributing to the overall success of the procurement function. The role supports in identifying and onboarding vendors/suppliers and managing purchase orders. The role supports team members to meet business controls and helps in the execution of commodity strategies.Responsibilities• Provides procurement support, focusing on basic commodities that require limited technical expertise.• Performs process-oriented tasks such as taking purchase requests, performing essential procurement and financial checks, and using automated tools, while applying discretion and judgment.• Standardizes fulfillment processes, operational tools, standards, and supplier management procedures.• Partners with business owners to identify and onboard vendors, manage purchase requisitions, and oversee purchase orders.• Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to control and benchmark procurement activities.• Enhances relationship management strategies with current, past, and potential suppliers.• Collaborates with team members across the organization to meet commodity objectives, business controls, and compliance requirements.• Contributes to cross-functional team goals and objectives through execution of commodity strategies via tactical delivery.• Stays updated with industry trends and best practices to provide guidance on improvements and opportunities.• Conducts training sessions on procurement processes and tools for employees.Education & Experience Recommended• Four-year Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.• Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in procurement, category management, operations, or a related field.Preferred Certifications• Certified In Production And Inventory Management• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification• Certified Professional In Supply Management (Standards Organizations)Knowledge & Skills• Accounting• Category Management• Cost Reduction• Economics• Enterprise Resource Planning• Finance• Invoicing• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)• Marketing• Material Requirements Planning• Procurement• Project Management• Purchasing• SAP Applications• Strategic Sourcing• Supplier Management• Supplier Performance Management• Supplier Relationship Management• Supply Chain• Supply Chain ManagementCross-Org Skills• Effective Communication• Results Orientation• Learning Agility• Digital Fluency• Customer CentricityImpact & Scope• Impacts own work and acts as a team member by providing information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts.Complexity• Learns to apply basic theories and concepts to work tasks.Disclaimer• This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
