Join the team and create the future of customer experience together.Job DescriptionJob Title: Purchasing Specialist (Workday)Location: Virtual (India)Summary:The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for creating and maintaining supplier Catalog portfolios and Purchase Requisitions. The Purchasing Specialist will also be working alongside the Purchasing Manager and Business Managers in purchasing and negotiating best value products. This role will be managing category spend, working to collaborate to leverage spend and coordinating with internal functions and create synergies with our regions to control and reduce costs.Responsibilities will include but not limited to:Be responsible for your own performance within the team, contributing to its KPI targets and objectives which are measured collectivelyCreation of Purchase Request on systems/data entry globallyWork with internal business stakeholders to adhere to the Genesys purchasing processes and guidelinesBe responsible for escalation of potential problems and be prepared to present solutionsRunning related reports in our ERP systemAttend meetings as requiredAssist in Purchasing projectsAligned to a shift/market/region as neededAssist in ongoing production support of technologies, including timely response of all user/supplier queries and leading internal support efforts by investigating, troubleshooting and resolving system issuesParticipate in activities related to a purchasing system implementation and upgrades, including but not limited to, testing, training, change management, and cutoverIdentify strategy improvements related to Purchasing process and technologyDeputise within the team as requiredLead negotiations with our vendors.Play a key part in training others on a new purchasing IT systemEnsure price lists and product specification sheets are maintained and distributed to the wider teamEnsure that you work within Genesys’ governance and compliance policiesSet commodity strategiesBuild and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliersConduct category pricing reviews and benchmarking analysisRequirements3+ years of professional experience, with the ability to show proven working experience in purchasing.Good standard of general education to ideally degree standardHigh level of competence in PC and Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Hands on experience using Workday P2P system, including Workday Supplier Contracts knowledge.Handson experience in Vendor Categorization.Experience of managing supplier performance.Technical skills/responsibility– Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, and supplier relationship management.Advanced negotiation skills, along with good commercial acumen.Excellent networking and communication skills.Strong analytical, presentation and interpersonal skillsResourceful, proactive, and self-drivenAbility to establish and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.#LI-IS2#LI-RemoteIf a Genesys employee referred you, please use the link they sent you to apply.About Genesys:Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
