SummaryThe Senior Finance Systems Delivery Manager is a pivotal member of the Finance Systems team, which enables the Finance & Accounting department to achieve its goals by streamlining processes, improving system efficiency, and delivering high-quality solutions that simplify their work.Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance Systems within Workiva’s Business Technology (BT) organization, this role collaborates closely with Business Systems Analysts, System Administrators, and business stakeholders to manage the team’s delivery of solutions to Finance & Accounting. In this hybrid project manager/scrum master role, you will project-manage smaller projects, support larger enterprise programs, and drive agile practices for the team. What You’ll DoManage the planning and delivery of projects, enhancements, and user supportCollaborate with stakeholders across Finance & Accounting and BT to define clear project scope, goals, and deliverablesDevelop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, work plans, status reports, issue/risk logsProactively identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and impedimentsManage project budgets and resources, ensuring projects stay within scope and budgetImplement and maintain project management methodologies and toolsManage change requests and ensure proper documentation and approvalsCommunicate transparentlyFoster a culture of open communication and transparency within the team and with stakeholdersProvide visibility of the team’s work status to the team, senior leadership, and business stakeholdersCollaborate effectively with other BT teams and vendors to organize, schedule, and deliver work dependencies in cross-team projectsDevelop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs)Empower the Finance Systems teamFoster a collaborative team culture through servant leadershipFacilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesGuide the team in adopting and refining agile best practices and principlesRemove impediments and blockers that hinder team productivity, escalating where necessaryFacilitate conflict resolution within the team and with stakeholdersCoach the team on estimating work effort and capacity planningChampion the team’s accomplishments and advocate for their needsContribute to Finance Systems team growth and excellenceIdentify opportunities for process optimizationPromote continuous improvement within the team’s work intake, prioritization, and delivery processesContribute to the development and implementation of team goals and objectivesConduct retrospectives and post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvementMentor and coach team members on agile methodologies, project management best practices, and effective communication and collaboration techniquesWhat You'll NeedMinimum QualificationsRequires a minimum of 4 years of related experience as a Project Manager, Business Systems Analyst, Delivery Manager, or Scrum Master with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experienceProficiency with work management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, Asana, Microsoft Project)Familiarity with specific agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFePreferred QualificationsExperience with enterprise finance systems and processes is preferredProven experience managing cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skillsEffective stakeholder managementInfluential leadership as an individual contributor Travel Requirements and Working ConditionsUp to 10% - Occasional travel to Workiva offices for team meetings, training sessions, or project kick-offsReliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva officeHow You’ll Be Rewarded✅ Salary range in the US: $79,000.00 - $134,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
