If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Role Purpose: A Project Manager is a motivated, result driven individual that drives and delivers customer projects successfully for the Professional Services Organisation at VMware by Broadcom.Professional proficiencies:Project leadership and delivery of large and complex software deployment projects using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solutionsExperience managing multiple smaller to medium scope projects simultaneouslyExpertise in project profitability, budget controls, schedule and financial forecastingDelivers to the statement of work and flags variations, scope changes and avoids over servicingA cool hand at driving project outcomes while retaining respect of team and confidence of customerIndustry experience:Large scale software design and deployment with complex interdependencies preferably on VMware Cloud Foundation and multi cloud solutionsOnshore and offshore resource management.ResponsibilitiesManages project to ensure that the project remains within agreed scope, schedule, cost and qualityCollaborate with the account and professional services sales teams to ensure that all clients are being serviced in a consistent and strategic manner from Initiation to Closure phase.Understand customer business and technical objectives and product requirements (automation or functional requirement), maintain an understanding in VMware by Broadcom service offerings and value propositions.Responsible for the scheduling and project management of assigned client engagements, to ensure on time, on budget delivery, in accordance to contracted goals and overall account strategy.Be a ‘change advocate’ for customer, understand the change management required and drive decisions accordinglyActively participate in practice development to PMO in the form of process/procedure enhancements.Identify additional sales opportunities within existing engagements and customer base.Leads negotiating, coordinating and complex decision-making processes to overcome project risks and issues.Drives project activities and internal/external teams towards successful conclusion of the client engagement.Education and Experience Requirements8+ years of experience in the IT industry with recent and relevant experience in commercial/private sector project management or a similar IT delivery management role.5+ years of experience working as a Project Manager in the IT Industry and possess relevant Project Management Certifications (i.e. PMI PMP, Prince 2, CAPM, Scrum, Agile certification).Experience in using waterfall and Agile delivery modelProficiency in managing commercial controls of a project, defending margin while maintaining qualityStrong presentation, influencing and negotiation skills at Executive levelsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously with complex resourcing in a matrix environment.Strong communication (verbal and written) and social skills.Demonstrates ownership and accountability while working with demanding clients.Has the ability to travel up to 40% when required within same city or nationally.Broadcom is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.  We will consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, disability status, medical condition, pregnancy, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.  We will also consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records consistent with local law.If you are located outside USA, please be sure to fill out a home address as this will be used for future correspondence.
