Collaborate with qualified electricians and diverse engineering teams to elevate system safety, quality, reliability, and performance.Objectives and Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to applicable safety and regulatory requirements as well as site policies for mechanical design and maintenanceEvaluate and improve existing equipment to maintain required capacity, capability and cost of ownershipAnalyze failures and develop improvement plans to support >99.9% facility uptimeLead in implementation of data projects such as statistical process control to improve maintainability, availability and proactive detection of failuresIdentify and drive short-term systematic hardware upgrades and improvements leading to safe, stable, and reliable system operationPlan and develop long-term strategies including capital improvement plans in consultation with facility managementProvide design and mechanical engineering support on projects including review and approval of outsourced designs that support the facilityEffectively collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors on new construction and renovation projectsQualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering5+ years experience with emphasis on operation, maintenance and improvements of large industrial systems such as air handlers, chillers, boilers, air compressors, acid/solvent exhaust and utility water.
