Category Manager, Procurement – Software & Cloud ServicesJob SummaryResponsible for recommending and implementing sourcing strategy for specific categories with collaboration from stakeholders to resolve issues as they arise.ResponsibilitiesEstablish Software category procurement goals, metrics, and work plans to meet operational objectivesDevelop Software category management strategies and action plans globallyManage regional/program/project RFx and support category initiatives as neededLead contract development and implementation efforts, while partnering with Legal on the contract lifecycle. Lead vendor negotiations including business terms and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Drive process and system improvements to enhance procurement efficiency, governance cost, and compliance - experience with the use of enabling systems to track progress, identify gaps, and develop plans to addressBuild and maintain supplier relationships and drive improvement in the areas of cost, risk, and quality. Educate suppliers on the mechanics of doing business with Equinix. Identify and resolve various supplier management problemsReport and present quarterly business reviews to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring SLA’s, key metrics and program compliance is adheredProactively identify, implement and project manage cost reduction, risk and service quality improvement. Facilitate meetings effectively ensuring that communication styles are appropriate given the differing needs of culturally diverse, global teamsCustomer focused, able to collaborate and influence others to drive actions to meet business needs while maintaining a positive, professional outlookAbility to work and interact with departments throughout the organization, with minimal supervisionDemonstrate integrity and reliability.
