Job Summary:JOB DESCRIPTION – SENIOR ACCOUNTANTLocation: Prague, Czech RepublicDivision: Ticketmaster Česká republika, a.s.Line Manager: Finance DirectorContract Terms: Permanent, 40 hours per weekTHE JOBReporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for the overall day to day running of the finance function. Ensuring timely and accurate execution of all accounting processes including; AP, AR, Banking, Management Accounts, Taxation, Financial reporting, Internal/external Auditing and Statutory reporting obligations.  The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient and thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Knowledge or passion of the music/entertainment industry always a plus.  As a leader of the Finance Team, you will be partnering with all areas of the business and interacting with many different stakeholders. You will gain an in-depth understanding of the day to day running of the department and oversee the daily accounting and financial reporting activities of the business.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGLead the finance teamPosting month-end accounting journals including wagesReview and preparation of accruals, internal documentsReview of general ledgerPreparation of monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accountsReconciliation of intercompany transactions and balancesPreparation of VAT returns, cooperation with tax advisorWeekly/monthly reporting tasksDoing other ad hoc tasks based on the instructions from Finance Director or MDResponsibility for preparing documents for audits and cooperating with auditorsResponsibility for preparing and submitting statistical returnsStaying updated with relevant accounting standards, and regulationsWHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)University degree in AccountingSenior-level accounting experience requiredVery good knowledge of the Czech accounting procedures, policies, regulations, and rulesFundamental knowledge of US GAAPPossess PC proficiency, especially in ExcelExperience with Oracle preferredFluent in Czech and EnglishYOU (BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS)Be able to work independentlyAttention to detail and ability to work under pressureGood time management skills and ability to meet deadlineBe able to identify any issues related to the work or the team in time LIFE AT TICKETMASTERWe are proud to be a part of Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s largest live entertainment company.Our vision at Ticketmaster is to connect people around the world to the live events they love.
