Many of our innovative engineers are automation enthusiasts, regularly developing solutions to streamline workflows and enhance our operations.THE JOBTicketmaster is seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer to join our team as we embark on an exciting journey! You'll play a key role in designing, securing, and maintaining our reliable network across global data centres. We're transitioning from a traditional 3-tier network architecture to a leaf and spine VXLAN/EVPN topology. Your expertise will be crucial in helping us navigate this transformation and build a future-proof network.This role offers a perfect blend of project work and day-to-day operations. You'll tackle projects varying in size and complexity, from internal network optimization to collaborating with other teams to design and implement solutions based on their needs. We leverage Agile methodologies for efficient project management. Your day-to-day will involve handling support tickets for access requests or network information and troubleshooting. Additionally, you'll be ready to tackle high-priority emergencies and ensure network uptime.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGDesign and build secure, scalable network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs) aligned with evolving business needs.Manage larger projects within defined lifecycles. Proactively address network performance concerns and resolve complex network issues.Manage workload within the Jira ticketing system and resolve operational requests efficiently. Apply network device patches to maintain a strong network security posture.Develop and implement network automation solutions to streamline tasks.Maintain clear and comprehensive network configuration and procedure documentation.Work closely with the network team and collaborate effectively with other IT teams (cloud, server, security).Contribute to identifying, containing, and resolving major network incidents. Stay at the forefront of the industry by actively pursuing knowledge of emerging network technologies and security best practices.Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure network uptime and reliability.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)Proven years' experience designing and implementing complex network solutions.Deep understanding and hands-on experience with VXLAN and EVPN technologies.Experience managing and troubleshooting data centre network devices.Solid grasp of routing protocols like BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.Good understanding of MLAG, VPC, STP, and HA protocols.Experience supporting various VPN technologies like VTI, DMVPN, and Cisco Secure Client.Experience configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting Fortigate and ASA/Firepower firewalls.Experience with scripting (Python, Ansible) and infrastructure as code tools (Docker, Git, Terraform) is a plus.Relevant industry certification like CCNP or CCIE is desirable but not essential.YOU (BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS)Encourages team unity through sharing information and working together to solve problems.Acknowledges and corrects mistakes without making excuses.Sees opportunities for creative problem solving and generates unique solutions.Finds ways to turn ideal outcomes into reality and experiments with new ideas and procedures.Anticipates and prevents problems, guiding implementation of corrective actions.Solicits advice, support, and commitment for smooth transitions of change.Strong creative problem-solving and analytical skills.Listens to, understands, and interprets information correctly.Ability to work well within a team, both locally and remotely.Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and respectful.
