Senior Systems Engineer

Job Description:Integral Ad Science (IAS) seeks a talented Senior Systems Engineer to help us grow IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue next-generation innovation in a multi-cloud environment. The ideal candidate possesses expert knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, and Cloud systems and a firm grasp of the layers involved in a complex, high-throughput, and low-latency environment. The candidate will use that knowledge in troubleshooting, optimizing, and automating as much as possible, immediately impacting the day-to-day efficiency of IT operations. Responsibilities    Support all IAS production systems by participating in a global on-call rotation.    Capacity planning and growing the infrastructure to handle increasing traffic    Develop custom monitoring and automation scripts and modules    Work with developers to optimize applications and infrastructure    Documenting architecture and solutionsQualifications5+ years of Linux/Kubernetes system experience (software, hardware, network troubleshooting, optimizing systems for low latency and high throughput).Coding ability in Bash and Perl, Python, Ruby, or similarExperience utilizing Amazon Web Services and utilizing Infrastructure as Code.Automating administration tasks, configuration management (Puppet, Terraform and Cloud Formation), and monitoringProven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary Agile teams of developers, data scientists, Client Services, and Product Owners.Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventative measures.BS in Computer Science/related degree or equivalent experienceDesired Skills    Knowledge of the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, including planning,  b   requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance    Knowledge of DataBricks    Knowledge of one or more database technologies MySQL, Snowflake, Postgres    Network and systems security and optimization    Knowledge of the Microservices Architecture.  Skills that can't hurt:    Familiarity with administration and use of Grafana Cloud, Zabbix, Kafka, Spark Stream    Ability to debug Java/Tomcat and Python applications    AWS CertificationAbout Integral Ad Science Integral Ad Science (IAS) is a leading global media measurement and optimization platform that delivers the industry’s most actionable data to drive superior results for the world’s largest advertisers, publishers, and media platforms.
