As a senior member of the seller team, you will have the opportunity to craft and shape the seller acquisition and business development strategy for eBay’s European cross border trade markets. This new role is responsible for driving the strategic growth of eBay’s European cross border trade organization by identifying, evaluating, and capitalizing on new business opportunities. This role involves leading market analysis, formulating critical initiatives, and encouraging key partnerships, while laying down our go-to-market plan, to expand the company's market presence and revenue streams. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, encouraging, and leading commercial partnerships that drive business growth and expansion opportunities. These strategic partnerships are collaborative arrangements, aligned to our purpose, values and strategy, with the aim of achieving mutual benefits and goals. These relationships can take various forms, including strategic alliances, joint ventures, co-branding initiatives, distribution agreements, licensing agreements, and supplier/customer partnerships.  You will collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement the new business strategy, aligned with our business priorities and objectives. This is a new 12-month Fixed-term Contract role, which requires a balance of critical thinking and commercial skill, paired with a resourceful and driven ability to get results.What You Will Accomplish:Create the strategy and go-to-market plan for new business development and acquisition in eBay’s European cross border trade markets (Poland, Spain, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland). Develop a customer-led strategy and plan, led by a mix of qualitative and quantitative market research and data. Identify and evaluate potential European partnership opportunities that align with the company's strategic goals and objectives. Build and maintain relationships with key collaborators, including potential partners, industry leaders, and internal teams. Be responsible for the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements, ensuring terms are mutually beneficial and aligned with business objectives. Develop and lead partnership pipelines, supervising progress and ensuring timely follow-up on opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, finance and legal, to develop and implement your plan. Drive initiatives to optimize existing partnerships, finding opportunities for expansion and growth. Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new partnership opportunities and stay ahead of market developments. Track and analyze partnership performance metrics, providing regular reporting and insights to senior team members. Serve as a subject matter expert on large partnership standard processes and industry trends, providing guidance and support to internal teams as needed. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and identify potential partnerships.  What You Will Bring:Consistent record of success in business development, partnership management, consultancy or related roles. Minimum 3-5 years in a senior and strategic sales role, ideally leading a sales and business development team. Confirmed experience of creating a sales/ business development strategy and go-to-market plan, in a sophisticated corporate environment and multi-market structure.  Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across internal and external partners. Strategic problem solver with the ability to identify and prioritize partnership opportunities based on business impact. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and lead multiple priorities effectively. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and trends to drive decision-making. Developing a high level of professionalism and proficiency in finalising deals and handling vital documentation. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization. Experience of previously working in at least one other European market would be preferred. Experience in technology, retail, FMCG, or related industries preferred. Industry specific experience in any of the following categories would be advantageous: Automotive, Home & Garden, Fashion, Luxury, Electronics, Recommerce. Fluent English, and one additional European language preferred. Results-oriented approach with a focus on driving measurable business outcomes through partnerships. Flexibility to travel in Europe as needed for partnership meetings, conferences, and events. Ability to interact with all levels of the organisation and attend and actively participate in leadership meetings.  Maintain the highest standards of professional integrity and conduct at all times when dealing with external partners. Hybrid based role in eBay’s Dublin office, with occasional travel across Europe.  Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred. #LI-SI1#LI-Hybrid Please see the Talent Privacy Notice for information regarding how eBay handles your personal data collected when you use the eBay Careers website or apply for a job with eBay.eBay is an equal opportunity employer.
